This article explains how to customize the different nutrients available when creating a new custom food for recipes and meal plans. If you do not know how to create your own foods, please read this article first.

Note: Changing these nutrients also will change the nutrients that are displayed in other sections of the software, such as the recipes micronutrient analysis view, or the meal plan micronutrients analysis section.

By default, new food items you create will need to have valid energy, carbohydrate, fat, and protein values. This is because NutriAdmin will use those values when calculating nutritional values for your meal plans and recipes. Additionally, you can add dozens of micronutrient information if you so desire.

To change which nutrients are available for you when creating foods, follow these steps:

Step 1: Click on Settings.

Step 2: Click on the Meal Plans, Recipes & Foods tab. If your screen size is below a certain size, these tab will render as simply Meal Plans instead.
